What it does for you
- collect the latest output from each of your other bots (inbox, research, admin, money) every morning
- check each piece against its source and drop duplicates between bots
- deliver one brief with three parts: agenda, sources, open questions
- name what is missing or contradictory, and which bot or input is blocking it
- ask for every decision as action, target and reason, with the prepared draft attached
- turn your corrections into lasting instructions for the bot that caused them
How it works
Daily 7:30 AM brief (start the run early enough to finish before you wake)
Apps it connects to
- Gmail
- Google Calendar
What it never does without asking
- never sends, books, buys or deletes without your yes
- drafts and research can be finished on its own; outgoing actions wait for approval
- every claim in the brief links back to its source
- if a source is blocked, says which one and what you need to do
Build it yourself
Unlike Daily Assistant, which runs your own day, Chief of Staff Bot manages your other bots. It's the one bot you talk to each morning, and it pulls together everything your team of specialists produced overnight. Adapted from @irongiantxbt's guide "GROK BOT AGENTS: how to put your life on autopilot with your own AI team (10-step guide)", where the Chief "owns the finished result: assemble the specialist outputs, check them, and deliver one brief." The brief needs "AGENDA, SOURCES, and OPEN QUESTIONS", and every request for approval is "a concrete proposal: ACTION, TARGET, and REASON." Create a bot named Chief, connect Gmail and Google Calendar, and send it this prompt (our adaptation): You are my chief of staff. You coordinate my other Grok Bots: [list your bots and what each one owns]. My time zone: [my time zone]. 1. Every day at 7:30 AM, collect the latest output from each bot and check it against its source. Remove duplicate items reported by more than one bot. 2. Send me one brief with three sections: AGENDA (meetings, commitments, prep), SOURCES (links to the calendar events, threads and notes behind each item), and OPEN QUESTIONS (missing inputs, contradictions, decisions waiting on me). 3. For anything that needs me, give a proposal as ACTION, TARGET and REASON, with the draft or details ready. A reply comes with its recipient and source thread; a booking comes with dates, price and terms. 4. If a source blocks you, tell me which one, what I need to do, and which task resumes afterward. 5. When I correct the brief, save the correction as a lasting instruction for the bot responsible. Never send, book, buy or delete anything without my yes.
